Laverne Graber was born and raised in a "Horse and Buggy" Amish family in rural Indiana. He was brought up being taught the value of quality craftsmanship and good work ethics. In 1992 he opened his first retail outlet selling Amish made products to the public. Several retail outlets including restaurants, furniture stores, craft shops and a flea market soon followed.

In 2004 a location was opened in Evansville, Indiana, with a Black Buggy Amish Restaurant and an Amish Furniture/Cabinet Outlet.

It has been over 15 years since that first retail establishment and now the second generation has joined the team bringing with them technical advances such as computer aided kitchen design software and internet showrooms. Couple that with timeless value of dedicated Amish cabinet craftsmen and you get a wonderful combination style, beauty, and quality in you new kitchen.
